This was the very end of the episode.

I don't have much additional commentary, other than to reiterate, if Tucker genuinely believes what I'm left to infer, I wish he'd just fucking say it:

Government is illegitimate, non-consensual violent entity and everyone involved is complicit and an agent of Evil. Simple as.

Tucker still remains an enigma, but at this point it's the kind of thing I could only sus out talkin' around a bonfire. 🤷‍♂️

And in the 1980s it would be done with 5kB of C code on a 8bit microcontroller. ;-)

In Sweden cash has almost disappeared. I had a single note in my wallet for well over 2 years, before spending it in Jan/Feb at the local bridge club (they also accepted Swish, the P2P payment system in Sweden).
ATMs are soon all gone. Most bank branches don't accept cash! Many shops, bars and restaurants don't accept cash.

And people here are pretty happy about it. Which somewhat scares me.

Justice is difficult, but end of the day, the current system is worse; You are wronged by me, and I have to pay the elites (fines), or everyone else has to pay for my punishment (prison). (the above varies a little by jurisdiction)

I have a hard time seeing "justice" in any of that.

Retaliation Justice is amplified by governments, for instance the recent Hamas->Israel->Hamas/Iran->Israel->Iran nightmare.
Why?Because the most psychotic and vengeful people is in government.

As a "daily desktop user" since 1998, practically all friends that are not Apple fanboys are on Linux. But we are all in the tech sector, so that is probably a strong reason why.

For most people, the word "review" now means "promotional video or blog post paid for with a supplied no-cost product and a non-monetary reward of accumulated influence metrics which then gets laundered into cash through adshare revenue and merchandising". It's how products are marketed to people who pretend they're too clever for marketing, and in the modern era it's mostly just the collateral cultural damage of Google's business model.

I saw the "Farewell Atlas" video yesterday; I guess this is the replacement/NG.

@Hyolobrika

So, according to Casey, we shouldn't build parallel systems as this is useful with human resources, and instead build a parallel system filled with very inefficient, limited and expensive human resources (lawyers) that doesn't scale??

His analogy with the city water system doesn't hold water (pun intended). Parley's ban is like the water treatment plant kicking off the city, because a restaurant has a sign in its window.

IMHO, a statist's grasp after "please be more fair".

@Peaceandprosperity

There is VAT on practically everything. Food is 12%, and practically everything else is 25%. For energy there are additional taxes, such CO2 tax and energitax, and then VAT on top of those taxes too.

Total government (Sweden) spending as percentage of GDP is around 50%.

@freemo greater response time would mean to have cops there already _and_ them doing their job :P

tbh, i'd much prefer common people carrying guns. stupid german gun laws don't prevent the real bad people from owning guns after all.
