UK has had a program to attract rich people for a very long time. I am not sure of the details, but TetraPak's owners (yeah, was/is privately held) moved their decades ago for that reason. Many lords/ladies around in Sweden all live in UK to avoid double taxation on land lease income.

So, yes, the UK is a tax haven for the rich. You and me? Not so much.

Same is true for many places in USA. IIRC, USA and UK harbor more "tax haven money" than all the other tax havens added together.

The only good way to reduce profits for the "greedy capitalists" is to remove regulation, licensing, and "laws" that make starting a business hard.

With a fair market (i.e. free from state involvement) and an educated (not indoctrinated) public, large profit margins are temporary as competition will fill voids.

And remove "Corporations" from "legal entity" definition, while at it. It is only gangs of people, and should personally be responsible.

Why is it called "Law" anyway? Laws of Physics are not debatable, only discoverable.

"Decree", "Edict" and "Diktat" (dictate?) are better words, and unmasks their true nature. Notice how these words are used when describing "bad places" or "bad times" in books and education.

@revk Alright... Just consider that interoperability is a cornerstone in this space, much more important than efficiency.

@revk MQTT is under OASIS, and they have defined MQTT-over-websocket. I think from MQTT-3.1 but could have been earlier. This is implemented in Mosquitto and other implementations since quite a while ago.

Not sure if you are looking for anything beyond that.
