Can anymany tell me how I'm "supposed" to use end-to-end encryption with XMPP?

As far as I can tell there are three totally different ways to do E2EE:

a)OTR : "[https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0364.html](Not intended to be a current standard), or technical specification, as better (albeit, newer and less well tested) methods of end-to-end encryption exist for XMPP. "


b)OpenPGP: There are at least two different XEPs about it. XEP-0027 is obsolete, while XEP-0373 is "experimental" but hasn't been updated in almost three years.

c)OMEMO: "Experimental" and hasn't been updated in over two years.

Is there a way to do E2EE in XMPP which is neither deprecated nor experimental? What's the "Current stable" way to do it?

The outcome of what happens to Julian is one of the most important markers for freedom in our lifetimes.

It pisses me off that the our government here in Australia has let him languish for a decade and not even done anything until just recently. Then all they did was “vote” on what they think they should do. Then the vote wasn’t even unanimous.

All the ministers who voted no to repatriating Julian to Australia need to be identified and voted out. They are puppets of the empire.

As for Vaxry being banned by #CoC misuse, that's kind of the entire goal of having a CoC. Never trust a project that has a CoC, and always assume bad faith from anyone pushing for it. A CoC has never improved any community in any situation, and it never will.

In our public primary school every pupil gets an iPad starting 3rd grade, with a +Microsoft 365 account+ so they can "get used to the applications that are prevalent in business". Good job, getting 8 years old kids hooked on Office products, paid by the public.

All iPads are replaced every 3 years because "they degrade in performance" to make sure "pupils have always a device with peak performance". Good job, getting 8 year old kids used to "e-waste is nothing we need to care about".

I can only shake my head in disbelief, to say the least.

An arbitrary group of people exerting supposed power (that none of them have individually), and calling it "Government", is a brazen, illegitimate, out and open criminal enterprise.

The Constitution isn't "ignored", it's "interpreted differently".

It is wielded as a weapon, because it is one. The same one they beat us with. It's not going to "save us".

It is fundamentally illegitimate. Was then, is now. The results are right in front of us. Undeniable and indefensible. Everyone can see.

Yet people continue to praise the club as it is raised to strike them.

We've "progressed" in #IT so hard that we've come back to full circle to #timesharing systems. ​​ Replace the "mainframe" with the #cloud and replace the terminals with #smartphones and #chromebooks. ​​
