I'm looking for an audio recording of the LA Dodgers broadcast at the Marlins on April 5-7, 1993.

The color commentator for the Durham Bulls (AAA affiliate, TB Rays) is one Scott Pose, formerly of the Florida Marlins and NY Yankees. He grew up listening to Vin Scully on the radio and would love to have heard Vin call a game with him in it. The games I listed are, in theory, when that happened.

Remember the outcry for Microsoft buying GitHub and developers (allegedly) leaving en masse? It didn't happen and GitHub is as a monopoly today as it was back then. Musk/Twitter is analogous. We need to make federated alternatives better than centralized ones. Outcry won't do it.

guys, when explaining the #fediverse to new people, just go with the simplest analogy, e-mail. worry about the specifics later. no i don't care if it's not completely accurate, you can make it more "correct" after the fact. you just need to put very basic understanding into new people's heads, you don't need to go

"oh well activitypub is a yoingus sploingus babingyi"

no just say something like

"say you were on outlook, and i was on gmail. we could still send each other emails right? imagine that, but with tweets instead of emails"

i've used this explanation dozens of times, and people always get it.
