@selzero@vmst.io That the rendering is infringement on Disney/s IP rights.
People have lost quite obvious "fair use" cases against Disney, probably the strongest iron fist enforcer of IP out there. And IF Disney would lose in court, they will get Congress to change the laws, just like they have done several times before.
@nikiboo What is Canada doing? It sounds an awful lot like the eugenics program in Sweden 100 years ago, but at a much larger scale.

A baffling bit of trivia. Canned food was invented in the late 18th century (1772) and was patented in the early 19th century (1810) and became common pretty quick (1820s). So far so good, but what is baffling is that the first can opener did not appear until around 1850-1860 (the one below is patented in 1855). So for 50+ years people were opening the darn things with whatever tools at hand, hammers, chisels etc.
Any #erlang devs looking for a #contract? We have a company who needs 4-6 weeks worth of work spread over two projects. They'd like to start soon, but can be flexible on timing. More work may be possible after that.
#XMPP and #Ejabberd experience would be very useful. I'm told the work is quite in-depth. Please reboost!
End of 2023 for all contributors, but already in March for a big chunk of users, admins and contributors to large projects.
@lupyuen
With this requirements many developers and projects will consider moving elsewhere
I can't stress this enough:
Please STOP using #cloudflare on your websites!
They are extremely hostile to visitors who value their privacy and are
continuously making the web an awful experience.
@aworldinpages Yes, but it "just the beginning"
@sesily Enough women think bald men are attractive.
@msw I think "Restrictive" in this context is that you can't treat the code anyway you want. It is not in the public domain.
You must get that, since you point out that the licenses must be respected.
It will be interesting to follow the legal case. On the technical side; I think it is producing garbage unless well-known data structures and algorithms that we already have libraries for.
It didn't. Basically, "Edit" command ("e" key) brought up a pop-up.
Many other smaller pop-ups for more focused changes.
The new Properties Panel in @kicad nightly looks like a possible game changer 👀
