@marathon0 Yes, I think they can be.
The rook (Corvus frugilegus frugilegus) has always fascinated me, since it doesn't move out of the way of cars if it is outside the dashed line, and one can get fairly close to and friendly with them with treats over time.
The western jackdaw (Coloeus monedula monedula) is much smaller and more suitable as a pet. Doesn't appear as clever as the rook, but much cuter.
